We did a lot of research on gps collars before we got this one. We have used an underground fence for the last 18 years on over 17 dogs And i have never had a dog I couldn't train to it. Until Georgie.... Georgie is the 7th dog in our pack on our 10 acre farm. He is an 11 month old Maremma sheepdog and is one of 3 livestock guardian dogs that we have to keep coyotes and foxes away from our sheep and chickens. Georgie was fine with my underground fence for 8 months until he decided he wanted to explore elsewhere. So he was already trained to the vibrate and static but he thought the zap was worth the adventure. What i really like about satellai is the ability for constant correction until he returns back to his boundary. The battery life was initially an issue. If your dog is dead, the battery will probably last 5-7 days but if your dog requires any correction at all, we have gotten it to last 2 days on power saving mode IF the dog is not breaching the fence and making the collar work. Setting up fences is pretty easy on bigger areas but we haven't had much luck with small areas (we have a half acre field
I wanted to keep him in but it's too small and it doesn't work). I like the gps feature. It's pretty accurate 95% of the time. I like the footprint feature so you can see where he's been. It's very easy to make the fences. I like the notifications but they don't work in the app when it's in power saving mode. I also am not a fan of the fancy attachments on the collar. I wish it were a regular buckle. I like that extension wings will work on this collar for long haired or thick coated dogs. I like that you can see in the app if your dog is "safe" or "unsafe" and it is reasonably accurate and only lags for a few seconds. Thanks all! Overall I am happy with this collar. Still getting used to it.

First of all, customer service has been good. Before I purchased three collars, I did a chat which was helpful and my questions and concerns were addressed. Today I had a question regarding the subscriptions for the app and got through to customer service immediately.
Regarding the collars and the fence, the dogs learned within just a couple days where the boundary was. I had purchased small flags to mark off the boundary, but ended up not using them and still the dogs learned fast. One of the collars battery life only seems to be about 48 hours although the notifications for her are set higher so this may be why the battery isn’t lasting as long. The collar for another dog has been going off at inappropriate times including numerous times in the house. If this continues, I’ll have to get a replacement. While I am happy that they learned the boundaries quickly and don’t have to be leashed anymore I am concerned about the battery life and the collar going off at the wrong times. The last issue is that I had gotten the discount for each collar and also signed up for the subscriptions which listed a discount when purchasing three subscriptions. There was never any mention I could only receive one discount including when I had the initial chat and mentioned that my receipt didn’t show the discount for the subscriptions and was told I would be getting it. There was no mention that I couldn’t get that discount if I had gotten a discount for the collars. When I mentioned this to customer service today, I was just told “that’s the way it is”. One reason I went with this company and not another one I liked was the discount of the monthly subscription, especially having three collars. There should’ve been a disclaimer along with the information about the discounts.
One reason we went with these collars was that we didn’t have to rely on Wi-Fi since the dogs are in a rural area and the Wi-Fi isn’t great here. This is one reason why I would give these collars a five star review as soon as other issues are fixed.

This collar tracks fairly well for our rural area. The battery life is a lot better than other brands we looked at. The screws for adjusting the collar need to be more secure. We have lost the screw twice and finally replaced it with a metal bolt. Customer service is sometimes hard to contact.

Great collar but instructions on how to set customized fences could have been clearer. Would like to have ability to view tracking history options.
