It does a great job of ensuring our dog has the freedom to run around without leaving our yard!

Dog took to the training collar quickly and the tracking option is great . The only thing I didn't like is that gps is spotty under a metal roof that covers back porch

I’ve had this collar for several months now, and overall, it’s been really helpful. When I had an issue with the collar, customer service was quick to respond and very helpful in resolving it, which I really appreciated.

A few things I didn’t expect: the GPS sensor can be a bit inconsistent. For example, my dog will be lying next to me in the house, but the GPS will show him wandering around the yard and breaching the fence. I’ve learned to just turn off the fence feature when he’s inside.

On the positive side, he picked up on the yard boundaries incredibly fast — just one whistle warning was enough for him to understand where he could and couldn’t go.

One improvement I’d love to see is better control over the beacon range. I use it in a small bathroom to keep my dog out of the cat food and litter boxes, but the collar starts whistling well outside the doorway and even through walls and floors. Sometimes it even goes off when he’s upstairs with me, directly above the beacon. It still works for my needs, but it would be nice to have more precise control for smaller areas like this.

I'm glad I purchased this collar, though, as it's really been helpful in allowing my puppy the freedom to run outside and play without me constantly calling for him to see where he is. We live out in the country, so it's nice to be able to let him outside by himself while I have a quick Zoom meeting or something, without worrying where he is, since I can just look at the map and see that he's still in the yard. Ollie is 10 months old, so it's been a great help when he needs to get some energy out, even if I don't have the time to constantly watch him.

We did a lot of research on gps collars before we got this one. We have used an underground fence for the last 18 years on over 17 dogs And i have never had a dog I couldn't train to it. Until Georgie.... Georgie is the 7th dog in our pack on our 10 acre farm. He is an 11 month old Maremma sheepdog and is one of 3 livestock guardian dogs that we have to keep coyotes and foxes away from our sheep and chickens. Georgie was fine with my underground fence for 8 months until he decided he wanted to explore elsewhere. So he was already trained to the vibrate and static but he thought the zap was worth the adventure. What i really like about satellai is the ability for constant correction until he returns back to his boundary. The battery life was initially an issue. If your dog is dead, the battery will probably last 5-7 days but if your dog requires any correction at all, we have gotten it to last 2 days on power saving mode IF the dog is not breaching the fence and making the collar work. Setting up fences is pretty easy on bigger areas but we haven't had much luck with small areas (we have a half acre field
I wanted to keep him in but it's too small and it doesn't work). I like the gps feature. It's pretty accurate 95% of the time. I like the footprint feature so you can see where he's been. It's very easy to make the fences. I like the notifications but they don't work in the app when it's in power saving mode. I also am not a fan of the fancy attachments on the collar. I wish it were a regular buckle. I like that extension wings will work on this collar for long haired or thick coated dogs. I like that you can see in the app if your dog is "safe" or "unsafe" and it is reasonably accurate and only lags for a few seconds. Thanks all! Overall I am happy with this collar.
