Community & Giving Back
A portrait. A moment on the Green Carpet. A new beginning. At the 2026 Fetch Pet Gala, SATELLAI helped put adoptable dogs in the spotlight—and extended that support to the journey home.
A shared commitment
Every dog waiting for adoption has a story, and an opportunity to be seen can help bring that story to more people. For SATELLAI, supporting adoption is a natural extension of our mission: helping people better understand and care for their pets. That care begins before a dog arrives home and continues through the everyday moments that build a relationship.
This year, we returned as a sponsor of the Fetch Pet Gala in New York City. Alongside the evening's celebration, our involvement included a shelter photography initiative and a plan to provide Collar Go devices to five adopting families. Together, these efforts connected the visibility of a public event with support for dogs beginning a new chapter.
01 / Being seen
Helping Adoptable Dogs Be Seen
Before the gala, SATELLAI and Fetch Pet Insurance sponsored a professional photoshoot at North Shore Animal League America with Stronger Shot. Founded by photographer Adam Goldberg, Stronger Shot is a nationwide initiative dedicated to helping shelter pets find loving homes through photography and storytelling.
The purpose of that work is simple: help people see shelter pets as individuals, beyond their circumstances. A photograph offers a starting point for that connection. It gives someone a reason to pause, look closer, and learn about a dog they might otherwise never encounter.
The dogs wore SATELLAI Collar Go devices for their portraits. From the shelter photo session to the gala's Green Carpet, they helped bring the cause into focus. For us, their presence was a reminder of why this gathering mattered: behind the celebration were dogs waiting for families and organizations working to support them.
02 / Coming together
An Evening of Performance and Purpose
Hosted by Fetch Pet Insurance at The Carlyle Hotel, the second annual Fetch Pet Gala brought together pet industry leaders, animal welfare advocates, and celebrity guests. Performances by Bernadette Peters, Darren Criss, and Ariana DeBose, along with a surprise performance by Cyndi Lauper, made the evening a celebration of a shared cause.
The gala raised more than $750,000 to benefit four nonprofit organizations: Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Broadway Barks, Wags & Walks, and North Shore Animal League America. SATELLAI was proud to return as a sponsor and contribute to an event bringing people together in support of pets in need.
03 / Going home
From the Spotlight to a New Home
Our support also extends beyond the event. To celebrate National Adopt a Dog Month, SATELLAI announced a plan to give complimentary SATELLAI Collar Go devices to five families adopting dogs from North Shore Animal League America. The intention is to help those families stay connected to their dogs as they settle into their new homes.
Adoption is a beginning. A new family gradually learns a dog's routines, preferences, and ways of communicating. Familiarity grows through time together, from everyday walks to quiet moments at home. Supporting that relationship is central to why we build technology for pets and their people.
SATELLAI's broader mission goes beyond traditional pet tracking. We are building toward a better understanding of pets' behavior, activity, and wellbeing. Our involvement in this initiative reflects that same commitment to care, connecting the moment a dog is noticed with the longer journey of companionship.
Beyond the gala
One Evening. A Lasting Purpose.
There is a shared purpose across these different forms of support. Photography helps introduce a dog to the world. A fundraising event brings people and resources together. A device offered to an adopting family supports the next stage of connection. Each plays a different role, and together they express our belief that caring for pets includes both helping them find a home and supporting life within it.
Keeping Adoption in the Conversation
A gala lasts one evening. The work of helping pets find homes continues afterward. We are grateful to Fetch Pet Insurance, North Shore Animal League America, and Stronger Shot for the opportunity to support this effort, and to everyone helping bring attention to dogs waiting for a family.
For readers, there is an opportunity to carry that attention forward: learn about adoption, share the work of animal welfare organizations, or explore what welcoming a dog could mean for your household. Each starts with taking the time to see the animal behind the story.
